If I remember correctly, I believe he prefers AO2 because he tends to like the game sticking more towards a vanilla feel, which is what ultimately helped me decide to go with SoS. I know many people don't like the added sounds, but I feel it makes the world feel more alive, albeit in a somewhat unrealistic way as some of the sounds don't match what is actually present in the environment. I prefer SoS simply because I personally enjoy the greater amount of sound effects it adds to the environments.
